CIBS was off to a great start in 2025 with a successful, sold-out luncheon on February 26th at Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in Manhattan. Led by 2025 President Boris Schaefer, the event was supported by sponsor Rob Lynch of Apogee.

The event featured an inspiring keynote by Diamond Hannah, Director of Product Development at Sol de Janeiro, who delivered an engaging talk titled “Past, Present, and Future: Sol’s Radiant Journey.”

Diamond took attendees on a journey through Sol de Janeiro’s meteoric rise—from co-founder Heela Yang’s founding vision to the brand’s global influence today. She highlighted the runaway success of Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, the game-changing Cheirosa 62 fragrance mist that premiumized the mist category, and the brand’s rapid expansion into travel retail.

Coincidentally, Beauty Packaging’s audience chose Sol de Janeiro as this year’s Beauty Company of the Year: Excellence in Packaging.

Try It, You’ll Like It

Attendees to the CIBS event were also treated to an interactive experience with Sol de Janeiro’s signature products, allowing them to engage firsthand with the brand’s iconic textures and scents.

Looking ahead, CIBS invites members to two exciting upcoming events: the Bierhall Party on April 2 and the Networking Luncheon on April 9.
